The evaporator has a superhydrophobic heat-exchanging surface (10) whose geometry is adapted to prevent coalescence of water droplets that are formed on the heat-exchanging surface. The heat-exchanging surface forms an air passage with an input end and an output end and defines an air passage section. The heat-exchanging surface is formed by fins, where the evaporator is arranged in a front face of a vehicle. A section of each fin decreases between the input and output ends of the air passage. The fins are arranged in such a way that air flow crossing a heat exchanger drives the droplets.
