PURPOSE: A station operation method in TVWS(TV White Space) and apparatus therefor are provided to execute a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) operation by enabling a station to effectively obtain information for an available channel from a data base based on location information. CONSTITUTION: A transmission and reception apparatus(780) transmits an available channel information request message to an apparatus including database information. The transmission and reception apparatus receives an available channel information response message and the identification information of an available channel from the apparatus including the data base information. The available channel information response message includes the effective time information of the available channel. A processor(760) controls the transmission and reception apparatus for transmitting and receiving a signal in the available channel during the effective time using the received information.
