<p>This solid-state image pickup device is provided with pixels (101), vertical signal lines (102), column AD converter circuits (150), a bias circuit (113) for supplying a prescribed voltage to the column AD converter circuits (150), and a reference signal generating circuit (122). Each of the column AD converter circuits (150) comprises a comparison circuit (151) with a first input port which is connected to the reference signal generating circuit (122) and with a second input port which is connected to the bias circuit (113) and one of the vertical signal lines (102) via an input capacitance. Bias-input control switches (114) are provided between the bias circuit (113) and the comparison circuits (151). Each of the comparison circuits (151) compares a reference voltage inputted into the first input port thereof, and the difference between the voltage of a pixel signal inputted into the second input port thereof and the voltage of a reset signal.</p> |
