PURPOSE: A rack assistant type electric power steering apparatus is provided to reduce costs and weight while securing a smooth steering performance. CONSTITUTION: A rack assistant type electric power steering apparatus comprises a rack bar, an inner ball nut(310), an end cap(320), and an outer ball nut. The exterior surface of the rack bar is formed into an outer circumferential screw groove. The inner ball nut comprises an inner circumferential screw groove(313) and a ball circular path(315). The inner circumferential screw groove is fit to the outer circumferential screw groove. The ball circular path is formed in an axial direction. The end cap is connected to the ball circular path, the inner circumferential screw groove, and the outer circumferential screw groove. The end cap is coupled with the both ends of the ball circular path respectively. The inner surface of an outer ball nut comprises a mounting groove. The inner ball nut is inserted in the mounting groove.
