The evaporator has a heat-exchanging surface (10) for exchanging heat with an external medium, where the evaporator is arranged in a front face of a vehicle. The heat-exchanging surface is subjected to a surface treatment using composite material containing polymer and fine particles to form a superhydrophobic heat-exchanging surface, so that a contact surface area of the heat-exchanging surface is increased. The heat-exchanging surface is arranged such that an air flow (100) traversing a heat exchanger pushes water droplets (110) formed on the heat-exchanging surface.
