<p>A solid-state image pickup device (90) is provided with a pixel array section (20), in which pixels (21) are formed in a matrix. The pixels include a photoelectric conversion element (PD), a transfer transistor (MTR), an amplifying transistor (MSF), and a resetting transistor (MRS). The pixel array section includes: an effective pixel section (42), which has light inputted to the PD, and outputs image signals; an optical black pixel section (44), which has the PD shielded from light, and outputs reference signals; and a dummy pixel section (43). Among the pixels connected to a same signal line (Vline), in each of the effective pixels of the effective pixel section (42), first potential is supplied to an FD section from the MRS, and in a plurality of pixels for clipping, said pixels being in the dummy pixel section (43), second potential is supplied.</p> |
