<p>A polymer composition with improved abrasion resistance is obtained by adding hydroxyapatite particles to a polymer material selected from silicone, polyurethane and combinations thereof at a concentration of from 0.5 up to 10 % by weight of the polymer composition. The polymer composition is suitable for manufacture of insulating articles to be employed in implantable medical devices.</p>
