摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction of electrical power consumption in a circuit for signal processing even in millimeter-wave radio communication that performs high-speed transmission. <P>SOLUTION: A device comprises a transmission power supply control unit 112 to control the power supply to a transmission unit 103, and a reception power supply control unit 110 to control the power supply to a reception unit 102. The transmission power supply control unit 112 turns on the power supply to the transmission unit 102 a predetermined period of time before the initiation of transmission processing in the transmission unit 102, where the predetermined period of time is determined taking into account power-supply start-up time, and turns off the power supply to the transmission unit 103 when the transmission processing is complete. The reception power supply control unit 110 turns on the power supply to the reception unit 102 a predetermined period of time before the time when an ACK is expected to arrive from a reception-side wireless communication device in response to the data transmitted by the transmission unit 103, where the predetermined period of time is determined taking into account power-supply start-up time, and turns off the power supply to the reception unit 102 when the ACK reception processing is complete in the reception unit 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
