摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation device for observing a sample state in an observation plane vicinity, that is improved in absorption spectrum detecting sensitivity, by totally reflecting light on an observation plane of a first component, arranging a plurality of metallic particles spaced apart on a surface of a second component separated from the observation plane by a level equal to or less than a wavelength, and measuring a light absorption spectrum arising from an electromagnetic field reinforced by plasmon resonance induced by the totally reflected light and the metallic particles. <P>SOLUTION: An observation device having a structure in which a separating space between a plurality of metallic particles spaced apart is filled with the same material as a material of a second component on the surface of which the metallic particles are formed.
