<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector type optical switch which improves reliability in the case of power failure. <P>SOLUTION: A connector type optical switch comprises a first connector to which a terminal portion of a first optical fiber is connected, a second connector to which a terminal portion of a second optical fiber is fixed and which is connected optically with the first connector, a third connector to which a terminal portion of a third optical fiber is connected and which is connected optically with the first connector, a moving mechanism which includes forced moving means in which the first connector is moved forcibly by an elastic body toward the third connector in order to optically connect the first connector with the third connector, and moves the first connector between the second connector and the third connector, and a regulating mechanism which regulates the forced movement of the first connector by the forced moving means by means of an electric component. In the case where a power failure occurs, the regulation by the regulating mechanism is canceled, and the first connector is moved forcibly by the forced moving means and optically connected with the third connector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
