<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water removing system capable of contributing to dissolution of negative pressure generated in a draft area while suppressing power consumption for driving a water removing device such as an electrically-driven water removing pump in a drain tank, and a water removing method. <P>SOLUTION: In a water removing method for removing water stored in a drain tank 16 to the outside in a hydraulic power plant 10 including a hydraulic turbine 12, a draft pipe 14 formed below the hydraulic turbine 12, and a drain tank 16 storing water leaked from equipment such as the hydraulic turbine 12, a communication pipe 20 allowing the inside of the draft pipe 14 and the drain tank 16 to communicate with each other is provided and leaked water stored in the drain tank 16 is sucked out by utilizing a state of negative pressure generated in a draft area due to driving of the hydraulic turbine 12. Thereby, power consumption for driving pumps 30 and 32 can be reduced and moreover the method contributes to dissolution of negative pressure in the draft area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
