<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine that starts a game control device later than a subordinate control device using software, to reduce cost and prevent start of the game machine from being delayed as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: The subordinate control device is started while a communication port maintains initial state, and enters a command receivable state in which a command from the communication port can be received. An arithmetic processing means executes a reading process for reading an initialization command from an initialization command receiving means to confirm whether the initialization command receiving means has received the initialization command before a timer means starts updating a timer.
