<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently release heat by securing a space for heat release on a lateral surface of an exterior member to form an air flow passage, in the case where multiple display devices are arranged in parallel. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes a panel module 4 composed of an LCD 2 and an edge light type backlight 3. LEDs 5 and 6 as heat sources are arranged on right and left ends of the panel module 4, and heat sinks 8 and 9 for heat release are respectively provided. In addition, covers each having a ventilation hole are detachably attached to right and left lateral surfaces of an exterior member. In the case where multiple display devices are arranged in parallel, the covers are removed and the display devices are joined to each other by joint members 37 to 40 so that a cavity extending in the vertical direction is formed between opposite lateral inner side walls 28 and 29. Fins 12 and 13 of the heat sinks 8 and 9 are exposed to the cavity from the lateral inner side walls 28 and 29, and thus, an air trunk 43 for transferring heat to air is formed and heat generated from a light source is discharged to the outside of the device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
