PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex producible of a high-molecular weight olefin copolymer without reducing copolymerizability to be less than that of conventional complex catalysts, an olefin polymerization catalyst containing the same, in addition, a method for polymerizing an olefin or ethylene using the catalyst in industrially advantageous polymerization temperature and polymerization conditions.

SOLUTION: There is provided a half metallocene complex or the like, represented by general formula [I] (e.g. dimethyl[dimethylsilylene(tert-butylamide)ä2-(5-methyl-2-furyl)indenyl}]titanium).
