DEVELOPING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which can prevent the generation of development ghost and supply fogging even when an operation is continued for a long period of time, and an image forming apparatus which can form an image with high quality by having the developing device therein.

SOLUTION: The developing device comprises: a magnetic roller 32 carrying a two-component developer containing toner and a carrier; a developing roller 33 disposed opposite to a photoreceptor drum 21 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, and developing an electrostatic latent image with the toner supplied from the magnetic roller 32; bias application parts 51 and 52 which apply a bias voltage in which an AC voltage is superposed on a DC voltage to between the magnetic roller 32 and the developing roller 33; and a control unit 40 which controls the bias application parts 51 and 52 in accordance with the deterioration situation of at least one of the toner and the carrier, and changes the amplitude of the AC voltage superposed on the bias voltage.
