<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To light a plurality of light emitting elements simultaneously in the same chip while suppressing the number of pieces of wiring. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting chip C includes light emitting thyristors L1, L2, L3, etc., transfer thyristors T1, T2, T3, etc., setting thyristors S1, S2, S3, etc., setting permitting thyristors TE1, TE2, light-out thyristors TR1, TR2. A gate terminal Gt<SB POS="POST">n</SB>of the No.n transfer thyristor T<SB POS="POST">n</SB>is connected to a gate terminal Gs<SB POS="POST">2n-1</SB>of the No.(2n-1) setting thyristor S<SB POS="POST">2n-1</SB>and to a gate terminal Gs<SB POS="POST">2n</SB>of the No.2n setting thyristor S<SB POS="POST">2n</SB>through connection resistors Rx. A gate terminal Gs of the setting thyristor S is connected to a gate terminal GI of the light emitting thyristor L of the same number through a connection resistor Ry.
