<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewage treatment device capable of reducing the load of a carrier filtration tank by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The sewage treatment device includes: a pretreatment tank B for performing solid-liquid separation or biological treatment of treatment object water; an aerobic treatment tank D for aerobically treating the treatment object water; a carrier filtration tank E for filtering the aerobically treated treatment object water; and a transfer adjustment mechanism 22 for transferring the treatment object water in the pretreatment tank B to the aerobic treatment tank D while adjusting its transfer amount.
