摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system which can improve the stability of operation. <P>SOLUTION: The engine system is constituted in such a manner that, when a control means 20 determines that a detection temperature of a catalyst temperature detection means 14 reaches an overheat preventing set temperature or higher, and a catalyst overheat state is brought about, the control means lowers an output of an engine 1 or stops the engine 1. There is arranged an overheat determination inhibiting means 21 for inhibiting that the control means 20 determines that the catalyst overheat state is brought about during a period that a restraining set time elapses which is set so as to be extended to the period after a combustion mode is switched to a lean combustion mode starting on and from at least the switch timing when the control means 20 switches the combustion mode of the engine 1 to the lean combustion mode from a stoichiometry combustion mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
