<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector having desired coupling efficiency even if optical elements are frequently connected to and departed from one another. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector 10 includes: a first holding member 21 for holding a first optical fiber 11 having an emission end face 11a for emitting light; and a second holding member 41 for holding a second optical fiber 31 having an incident end face 31a on which the light emitted from the emission end face 11a becomes incident and which is connected to the first holding member 21 so that the emission end face 11a and the incident end face 31a are optically coupled. In addition, the optical connector 10 includes blow means 51 for blowing gas 90 from the inside of the optical connector 10 toward one end face 41a of the second holding member 41 including the incident end face 31a in synchronization with operation associated with connection of the first holding member 21 and the second holding member 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
