<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts constituting an outer frame of a battery frame and prevent or reduce welding deformation. <P>SOLUTION: The battery frame includes an outer frame 1 of a substantially rectangular shape in plan view and an aluminium alloy lower plate 2 joined to a lower surface thereof. The outer frame 1 is composed of a pair of frame members 3, 4 of the same shape. The frame members 3, 4 are formed of an aluminium alloy hollow extrusion material bent at 90 degrees at two longitudinal places.
