<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of measuring the telomerase activity in a short period of time without needing PCR. <P>SOLUTION: The method for measuring the activity of telomerase includes (1) a step of placing the telomerase and a single stranded DNA to be a substrate of the telomerase in the same solution for causing the telomerase reaction, (2) a step of placing the substrate single-stranded DNA, that is devoted to the telomerase reaction, and a single stranded RNA, that comprises a sequence that can complementarily bind to a sequence of a telomeric DNA and on which a fluorescent functional group with a functional group quenching the an fluorescence are modified, an enzyme that has the RNaseH activity in the same solution for causing the RNaseH reaction, and (3) a step of measuring the fluorescence during or after the RNaseH reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
