The invention relates to the field of growing of nominally pure and doped single crystals of corundum (α-AlO) by the Czochralski method. A method for growing single crystals, in particular corundum includes melting of the initial material in the crucible, a seed, single crystal growing and further cultivation thereof in the acoustic field. In the process of growing the bottom of the crucible with the melt is affected with the ultrasonic waves of the intensity (0.5-2.0) 10W/cmand a frequency of 400-700 kHz. Under the action of ultrasound, with parameters, that are claimed, in the process of corundum single crystals crystallization the number of micropores in the grown crystal is reduced by 2-2.5 times compared to the crystal grown without the use of ultrasound. |
