The present invention refers to a novel structure and check-rail system for crossing railways, which is characterised in that it comprises a support base plate with a first flat section having two protruding hook elements which fasten and attach the inner flange of the rail pad over which the train wheels are passed, also comprising an external portion of higher thickness that defines a recess member for stopping the edge of the external flange of said rail pad; the plate comprises a couple of bores arranged in the limit of said recess member for locating nails that fasten the plate in a sleeper and the edge of the external flange of the rail pad; said base plate comprises a vertical wall perpendicular the upper surface, having a flat inner surface adapted to receive a fixing plate which receives the external surface of a check-rail, this being arranged parallel the rail; the check-rail, the fixing plate thereof and the vertical wall comprise transversal bores for inserting fixing mea ns; the base plate comprises a second couple of bores in a second external flat section for inserting fixing nails of said plate over a sleeper.
