<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an all-solid battery that suppresses a battery capacity drop. <P>SOLUTION: In a conventional all-solid battery, a hydride system solid electrolyte reduces a positive electrode active material to cause a battery capacity drop. Thus an all-solid battery uses a positive electrode active material, in which an area in contact with the solid electrolyte consists of a compound being nonreducible by the solid electrolyte. The all-solid battery includes: a positive electrode having a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode layer formed on a surface of the positive electrode current collector; a negative electrode; and an electrolyte formed by the solid electrolyte. The positive electrode layer consists of a base material portion of a continuous phase of lithium ion conductive solid electrolytes, and active material portions dispersed in the base material portion. The active material portions include a compound that is not reduced even when contacting with a surface of the solid electrolyte.
