<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active cable recoverable from a communication failure between electronic equipment configured to connect an electric connector thereto by self-reset operations on both receiver side and transmitter side of the electric connector, or a hardware error of at least one of the receiver side or the transmitter side of the electronic connector. <P>SOLUTION: A first MCU (master-side MCUb4) performs self-monitor as to whether a hindrance exists in processing under a data receiving control, and also monitors as to whether a hindrance exists in processing under a transmission control of a second MCU (slave-side MCUb5). When the first MCU determines that a hindrance exists in one of the processing under the data receiving control or the processing under the data transmission control, the first MCU is shifted to a reset state for reactivating the data receiving control, and the second MCU is shifted to a reset state for reactivating the data transmission control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
