<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid material that keeps a bent shape of the circumferential edge thereof bent along a lower part of the circumferential edge of a container opening, even after heat-sealed to a container, and also has a superior appearance of the seal. <P>SOLUTION: The lid material includes a heat sealable resin layer (A), and a base material layer (B) made of a polyester-based resin, wherein the lid material includes a laminate having the resin layer (A) as a surface layer.
