PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye dispersion which does not deposit foreign matter on the formation of a coating film, while achieving the demand of high brightness, can form a coating film excellent in redissolubility into a solvent, and can use PGMEA as the solvent; and to provide a photosensitive resin composition.

SOLUTION: There are provided the dye dispersion produced by dispersing a dye (A) in a solvent (C) in the presence of a dispersing agent (B), wherein the dye (A) is a dye having a cation group; the dispersing agent (B) is a block copolymer or a polymer produced by substituting at least one part of the block copolymer, and a polymer having a block portion (b1s) containing repeating units having a sulfonic group and/or a sulfonate salt at the terminal in an at least one portion and a block portion (b2) comprising repeating units not having a sulfonic group and/or a sulfonate salt at the terminal; the solvent (C) is a solvent having a dye (A) solubility of ≤0.2 (g/100 g solvent) at 23°C; and a photosensitive resin composition using the dye dispersion.
