<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device and an array antenna, of which the phase control is easy even though the phase to be given to an antenna element arranged on a same coordinate at an original point and around the original point is complicated. <P>SOLUTION: The radar device is equipped with the array antenna, a transmission section, a receiving section, a phase control section and a signal processing section. The array antenna includes a plurality of first and second sub-antennas which consist of the antenna element and transmitting/receiving modules aligned in the preset numbers, and the first and second sub-arrays are confusedly arranged in the neighborhood of a center line of an antenna opening. The transmission section creates a transmission signal to output it to the array antenna. The receiving section performs a reception process with respect to the reception signal received by the array antenna. The phase control section controls transmitting/receiving modules in such a way that the first sub-array and the second sub-array are in reverse phases and that an amplitude distribution of a Δ signal at the antenna opening becomes small in the neighborhood of the center line of the antenna opening.
