<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear forming device and method, allowing forming of an external gear wherein a tooth face shape of each outer circumferential corner part is stabilized by a small forming load. <P>SOLUTION: In this gear forming device 1, by inserting the tip of an inner circumferential punch 4 into a die forming hole 21 more deeply than the tip of an outer circumferential punch 3 and inserting the tip of an inner circumferential sleeve 6 into the die forming hole 21 more deeply than the tip of an outer circumferential sleeve 5, a forging space 11 is formed. In the forging space 11, by pressurizing a material 80 by the outer circumferential punch 3 and the inner circumferential punch 4 to make a part of the material 80 flow to a die inner circumferential teeth 22, the external gear 8 is formed. The outer circumferential face of a tip part of the inner circumferential punch 4 is formed with punch side escape grooves 41 for making the part of the material 80 flow in a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
