IMAGE READER, CONTROL PROGRAM AND IMAGE CAPTURING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the storage of image data indicating additional content easier when information output from another system is added to a document.

SOLUTION: An image reader comprises: a document storage control part for storing image data read out from a document in a folder which is a storage region preliminarily provided in an internal storage medium or an external storage medium; an external image identification information extraction part for extracting external image identification information for identifying external image data stored in a computer from the image data read out from the document; and an external image data acquisition part for acquiring external image data from the computer, associated with the external image identification information. The document storage control part stores the external image data acquired by the external image data acquisition part in the folder replacing the image data read out from the document in the case where the external image identification information is extracted by the external image identification information extraction part when the document is read out.
