<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock cylinder which enhances safety to an operation. <P>SOLUTION: A lock cylinder includes: a cylinder housing; a cylinder core; at least one lock pin; a plurality of tumbler discs 16; and a plurality of intermediate discs 136. The plurality of the tumbler discs 16 are pivotably supported between a latch position and an unlatch position. Each of the tumbler discs 16 has a center insertion port receiving a key and at least one outer circumferential cutout at a release position. The lock pin is allowed to only move toward the release position when all of the tumbler discs 16 are in the unlatch position. The plurality of the intermediate discs 136 are arranged along a cylinder shaft of the cylinder core. Each of the intermediate discs 136 is arranged between two of the tumbler discs 16 which are adjacent to each other.
