<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component that efficiently absorbs excitation light in a simple structure using an amplifying optical fiber, and an optical fiber amplifier and fiber laser apparatus therewith. <P>SOLUTION: An optical component 51 includes: an amplifying optical fiber 30 having a core 31 doped with an active element and cladding 32 for propagating excitation light for exciting the active element; and an optical coupling section 61 where a plurality of longitudinally discontinuous cladding portions 32a, 32b of the amplifying optical fiber 30 are longitudinally integrated together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
