<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus for a vehicle that can easily change the set vehicle speed when the speed limit on the road is changed while esteeming the intention of the driver. <P>SOLUTION: A cruise control unit 5 temporarily performs a standby mode in which a value of a set vehicle speed Vset can be switched to the speed limit Vlim, when a speed limit Vlim that is different from the set vehicle speed Vset is detected by a stereo image recognition device 4, displays the set vehicle speed Vset and the speed limit Vlim so that the speeds can be compared with each other during execution of the standby mode and selectively performs maintaining of the set vehicle speed Vset or switching to the speed limit Vlim according to an operation state of the driver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
