<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which can materialize a highly efficient white organic EL light-emitting element of high color purity at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has a light reflective electrode 12, an organic layer 13 and a semi-transmissive electrode 14, laminated sequentially in the light extraction direction. The organic layer 13 includes a first luminous layer 13e emitting light having an emission peak wavelength of λ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, a second luminous layer 13f emitting light having an emission peak wavelength of λ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and a third luminous layer 13c emitting light having an emission peak wavelength of λ<SB POS="POST">3</SB>. The λ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is longer than the λ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, and the λ<SB POS="POST">3</SB>is longer than the λ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. The m<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and m<SB POS="POST">3</SB>defined by formula (2) satisfy the relations n<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-0.2<m<SB POS="POST">1</SB><n<SB POS="POST">1</SB>+0.2, n<SB POS="POST">3</SB><m<SB POS="POST">3</SB><n<SB POS="POST">3</SB>+0.4 (n<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and n<SB POS="POST">3</SB>are integers of 0 or more). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
