<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the deterioration states of an optical disk and an optical drive in an optical disk library device. <P>SOLUTION: A specific area of an optical disk is played back in a combination of a first optical disk and a first optical drive to measure a first playback error rate, if equal to or more than a predetermined threshold, a second playback error rate is measured in a combination of a second optical disk and the first optical drive, a third playback error rate is measured in a combination of the first optical disk and the second optical drive, and deteriorated states of the first optical disk and the first optical drive are evaluated on the basis of the second and third playback error rates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
