<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a vehicle body skeleton member bend and deform in a desired shape upon vehicle collision. <P>SOLUTION: In this vehicle body skeleton structure 10, a pool part 54 which locally increases the gap between upper flanges 24, 34 to locally increase the amount of an adhesive agent 38 interposed in the gap is formed in the upper flange 34 at the intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The position and length of the pool part 54 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle are set so that the vehicle longitudinal center part thereof is overlapped with the deformation start part 46 of the vehicle body skeleton member in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. According to this configuration, since the interposed amount of the adhesive agent 38 is locally increased at the position corresponding to the deformation start part 46 where the bending deformation starts to occur, an adhesive strength by the adhesive agent 38 can be partially reduced, and the effect of the adhesive agent 38 on the bending deformation starting at the deformation start part 46 can be reduced.
