<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine and a sewing machine control method which, when a main shaft and a cloth feeding mechanism are driven by separate motors, can maintain synchronization between the driving of the main shaft and the driving of the cloth feeding mechanism even when sewing speed is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The sewing machine comprises: a main motor for driving a main shaft for vertically moving a sewing needle; and a cloth feeding motor for driving a cloth feeding mechanism for feeding cloth. The sewing machine control method comprises the following steps of: acquiring rotation angles of output shafts of the main motor and the cloth feeding motor (S11 and S13); setting, from the rotation angle of the main motor, a target rotation angle at which the output shaft of the cloth feeding motor is to be positioned in accordance with the rotation angle of the main motor (S14); calculating a deviation between the set target rotation angle and an actual rotation angle of the cloth feeding motor (S15); and calculating, based on the calculated deviation, a rotation speed at which the cloth feeding motor is instructed to rotate (S16). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
