<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant species identification method and a plant species identification device capable of accurately and efficiently identifying a plant species without being swayed by a degree of proficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The plant species identification method includes: a step S1 for obtaining spectrum data of identification object by a spectrum sensor; a step S3 for obtaining an operation value by calculating data of a plurality of singularities included in the spectrum data by a predetermined arithmetic expression; and a step S4 for identifying the plant species of the identification object by comparing a reference value that is obtained by calculating the data of the plurality of singularities included in the spectrum data previously obtained for each plant species, by the predetermined arithmetic expression, with the arithmetic value. The predetermined arithmetic expression is an expression for obtaining a ratio of a value of a first singularity (a) that is maximal in a first wavelength region, to a value of a second singularity c that is maximal in a second wavelength region that is different from the first wavelength region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
