<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the trouble of installing in the opening part of each of safes differing in the thickness of constituent plates with a matching acceptance/delivery/conveying mechanism and/or residual sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus comprises: a safe for protecting bank notes (a box 49 of a second unit 40); a first carriage path 36 disposed outside the safe; and a second carriage path 46 disposed inside the safe, wherein the safe has one or a plurality of openings 49a through which bank notes pass; and each opening is provided inside with an acceptance/delivery/conveying mechanism for handing over bank notes between the first carriage path and the second carriage path and a detachable acceptance/delivery unit 50 equipped with a residual sensor that detects the presence of any remaining bank note. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
