摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle beam irradiation device capable of achieving highly accurate control of an irradiation amount to a body to be irradiated. <P>SOLUTION: The charged particle beam irradiation device 100 for irradiating the body to be irradiated with a charged particle beam R includes: an irradiation part 1 for scanning the charged particle beam R and irradiating a prescribed part of the body with the charged particle beam R; a beam position monitor 5, provided inside the irradiation part 1, for detecting an irradiation position of the charged particle beam R turning to the body; and a shutter mechanism 6 arranged downstream of the charged particle beam R relative to the beam position monitor 5, and capable of switching an open state for making the charged particle beam R pass through and a shutoff state for shutting off the charged particle beam. In the charged particle beam irradiation device 100, since the irradiation position is confirmed and adjusted without irradiating a patient with the charged particle beam R before irradiation position adjustment by switching the shutter mechanism 6 to the shutoff state, the highly accurate control of the irradiation amount to the body is achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
