<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monitoring device capable of quickly making an aircraft fly to a spot without depending upon other support means to collect information as to whether a ship is a suspicious ship by specifying the position of the ship navigating a wide sea area. <P>SOLUTION: The monitoring device uses respective satellites 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3 to relay a radar wave from a ship 1 to an aircraft 7. The respective satellites 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3 notify the aircraft 7 of the positions of the satellites themselves. A signal processor 11 mounted in the aircraft 7 uses the position of the aircraft itself, the positions of the satellites 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3 and differences in incoming times of relayed radar waves to specify the position of a transmission source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
