<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjuster which alleviates abnormal noise. <P>SOLUTION: A driving rotor 10 is provided with a sprocket member 13 in which an engine torque for driving a cam shaft 2 is transmitted in a rotation circumferential direction by laying a timing chain 3 across a plurality of sprocket teeth 132 between crankshafts and with a hollow housing 15 integrally rotating with the sprocket member 13. A driven rotor 20 changes a rotation phase of the cam shaft 2 to a crankshaft through the in-flow and out-flow of working fluid with respect to operation chambers 30a-30j demarcated in a rotation circumferential direction inside the hollow housing 15. The hollow housing 15 which is provided with these rotors 10, 20, includes a cylindrical journal part 140 born from the inside in the rotation radial direction by the cam shaft 2 coaxially provided therewith and a fixing part 141 which is provided so as to be spaced from the cylindrical journal part 140 to the outside in the rotation radial direction and to which the sprocket member 13 is fixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
