PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that an active impedance is deteriorated during wide-angle direction beam scanning of a low frequency band to reduce a gain due to influences of a scan blindness phenomenon by inter-element coupling with surface waves when a phased array antenna that uses a printed dipole antenna as an element antenna is used in a wide frequency band and a broad band.
SOLUTION: Plural monopole-like passive elements are provided on right and left sides of an antenna on an identical substrate to a printed dipole antenna, and therefore, surface waves can be delayed further than conventional examples and propagated to an adjacent element in an E-face direction. Thereby, at an identical frequency, a scan blindness phenomenon is shifted to a wider angle direction, and therefore, gain reduction in a covering region can be prevented to restrain deterioration of a wide angle beam scanning characteristic.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
