<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means to easily recover air permeability even when a semi-permeable membrane for making air flow in an ink cartridge comes into contact with ink. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes: the ink cartridge 30 having a body 31 having an ink chamber 36, and an ink supply portion 37 provided in the body 31 and allowing the ink stored in the ink chamber 36 to flow out outside; and a cartridge mounting portion 110 in which the ink cartridge 30 is mounted. The ink cartridge 30 has an air channel 77 configured to make air flow in the ink chamber 36. The cartridge mounting portion 110 includes: a room 107 connected to the air channel 77, and opening in a portion different from the connection portion with the air channel 77; the semi-permeable membrane 124 for sealing the opening 109 of the room 107; and a second space 116 provided in the room 107, and functioning as an air reservoir in which the air remains when the ink flows therein from the air channel 77. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
