PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput in a multi-user MIMO communication.

SOLUTION: A base station device comprises: a channel quality index correction section for correcting a channel quality index received from each of a plurality of communication devices based on channel information showing a characteristic of a propagation channel from the own device to each of the plurality of communication devices so that mutual interference among transmission data multiplexed spatially is reflected; a pre-transmission processing section for selecting a modulation system and encoding rate for transmission data to be transmitted to each of the plurality of communication devices based on the channel quality index corrected by the channel quality index correction section, and modulating and encoding the transmission data by using the selected modulation system and encoding rate; and a transmission section for transmitting the transmission data modulated and encoded by the pre-transmission processing section to the plurality of communication devices.
