<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator with which solder crack is prevented by reducing variation of temperature due to heat cycle, long-term reliability can be improved, and stable output frequency can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: An oscillator comprises: a sealed outer case 6; an OCXO 1 mounting a crystal unit with 45°C to 55°C of zero-temperature coefficient point; a Peltier element 3 for heating and cooling inside the outer case 6; and a Peltier element temperature control circuit substrate 4 mounting a Peltier element control circuit to control motion of the Peltier element 3. The Peltier element is mounted between the OCXO 1 and the Peltier element temperature control circuit substrate 4. The OCXO 1 controls temperature of constant temperature bath to be the zero-temperature coefficient point of the crystal unit. The Peltier element control circuit controls current in the Peltier element 3 so that the outer case 6 has lower temperature inside thereof than the zero-temperature coefficient point by 10°C to 25°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
