<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match memory data held by an operating computer with memory data held by another computer, without stopping the operating computer or interrupting the processing therein, in a fault-tolerant computer system. <P>SOLUTION: A data-matching method includes: (1) obtaining a snap-shot of all data on memory at a certain point in time of a copy-origin computer in operation, transferring it to a copy-destination computer, and writing it to memory thereof; (2) continuously monitoring data-updating to the memory of the copy-origin computer starting from the execution of (1), and repeatedly transferring differential data relating to the detected update to the copy-destination computer and writing it to the memory thereof; and (3) transferring the differential data to write it to the memory of the copy-destination computer one last time when the size of the differential data becomes equal to or less than a size storable in a single transmission message, and restarting the processing of the copy-destination computer in synchronization with the copy-origin computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
