<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine in which original characters can be made by selective operation of a player. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine includes: a display device capable of displaying images; a control means which controls so that a special game state advantageous for a player can be generated, when a variable display game is performed and a result of the variable display game is a particular result; and a detection means which can detect an operating action of a player. The display device is equipped with a first display section and a second display section which display a variable display game. The control means is composed of: a parts storage means which stores a plurality of types of respective images of parts of human faces; a display control means which displays the respective images of the parts in the first or the second display section in a selectable state; and a selection means which can select the images of the parts in accordance with an input from the detection means among the images of the respective parts displayed in the first or the second display section.
