<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system which can operate an engine at a proper combustion mode corresponding to a rotational speed while suppressing the deterioration of the durability of a ternary catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The engine system is constituted in such a manner that a clutch means 42 for disconnecting and connecting an engine load which is applied on the engine 1 is arranged, and a control means 20 adjusts the rotational speed of the engine 1 to a switching rotational speed which is set to a lower limit value in a range of a stoichiometry-side rotational speed or a value close to the lower limit value in a state that a combustion mode is maintained at a stoichiometry combustion mode when the engine load becomes smaller than a set load, or the control means switches the combustion mode to a lean combustion mode after executing transition processing for turning off the clutch means 42 in a state that the combustion mode is maintained at a stoichiometry combustion mode, and adjusts the rotational speed of the engine 1 to a rotational speed corresponding to the engine load in a range of a lean-side rotational speed smaller than the range of the stoichiometry-side rotational speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
