<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly halt the development of corrosion and pitting corrosion of a metal member in a cooling water system where phosphorus cannot be used in accordance with an effluent regulation and the like but only zinc is used as an anticorrosive component, when the development of corrosion and pitting corrosion is detected. <P>SOLUTION: The method of halting the ongoing development of corrosion and pitting corrosion of the metal member in the cooling water system that carries out non-phosphorus zinc treatment includes carrying out batch addition to cyclic water in the cooling water system, so that the solid content of polyepoxysuccinic acid and/or its water-soluble salt having a molecular weight of 200-1,000 may become 15 to 100 mg/L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
